WebDynamic, LLC was founded in 1997 in the early days of dynamic web content. Back in the day, we were Perl hackers, doing the backend plumbing for design firms making the transition from print to web. We coded, we taught, we spoke, we advised. It was all good.
We took a few years off to go play in the corporate world, returning to run this full time in August 2007. These days, it is all about content management. In Joomla! based sites and Wordpress blogs, custom PHP programming and the wonderful world of MySQL. This site is building out slowly - Jim is like the mechanic whose own car is always broken down. Always too busy on someone else's stuff - but we'll shortly reveal what's been going on in our world.
A little hosting, a little coding, and some very interesting projects in very diverse markets. These days, much of Jim's time is spent as the senior technology advisor to the Martial Arts Marketing Network (Visit) and a new joint initiative with veteran martial artist and coach of the Ultimate Black Belt Test, Tom Callos called The New Way Network, acting as the principal designer of their flagship product, the Digital Dojo.
Never a shortage of more personal endeavors. Jim's writes an (almost) daily blog at Those Burning Questions in addition to neglecting The Esten Family Chronicles. We continue to host Galoot Central, a gathering area and image repository for members of the OldTools mailing list and in Nov 2008, released a dedicated site for the annual Galootaclaus event, which Jim has coordinated for the past five years.
January 2009 .. Jim has returned to school for another Masters degree. Studying for a degree in Lay Ministry at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI. Keeping up with the hip and trendy crowd, Jim is on Facebook and LinkedIn, and usually have a Twitter window open as well....
